We now have a full schedule of dates for this year. 2009 was a busy and productive year for the MRILC and we hope to see many of our students return this year, as well as lots of new faces.
Have a look at the calendar to see the courses available.

In January 2010, six students went through an intensive week of exams with the aim of recieving their Advanced certificate. To get to this stage they had already completed the Introductory course, spent several months working at home to gain experience with lots of different horses, and then returned for their Introductory exams and Advanced course. The Advanced course gave them many new challanges as they learnt the skills necessary to work with unstarted horses and untouched horses. Another intensive period of working and learning followed; during this time several of the six travelled to different parts of the world to work with Monty's concepts and gain the necessary experience.
The Advanced exams include a written exam and oral presentation as well as two practical exams. Although it is a gruelling week, we are happy to report that all of our students passed! Congratulations to:
Laira Armstrong, England
Jo Birbeck, England
Kata Pataky, Hungary
Denise Sandmann, USA
Lucy Simpson, Scotland
Barry Thomas, Wales

Denise stayed on to begin her Instructor's Internship straight away and has already proven to be an enthusiastic and valuable member of the team. She will spend three months working on the farm and developing her teaching skills. The other five are all lined up to do internships later in the year.
